Ghassoul or Clay is a natural rock material extracted from the deposits of the Middle Atlas region in Morocco. Used since the Middle Ages (12th and 13th centuries) for body care and cleansing, it is part of the culture of North African countries.
In Morocco, Ghassoul is an essential element of beauty treatments and traditional Hammam ritual. It is generally available in powder form, and the recipes for preparation and use are secret family recipes passed on from generation to generation.
Put an appropriate amount of Ghassoul powder in a small bowl.
Add two times the amount of warm water and mix.
Wait a few minutes until a dough forms.
Apply the paste to the skin and hair.
